Accommodation
HPU offers a selection of student housing. It is advisable to apply as soon as you are admitted. Note that it is mandatory to have a "meal plan" and the rental price, including food, is approximately USD 1800 a month.
Many students recommend living privately and rent apartments at Waikiki Beach or Ala Moana Shopping Center, which are approximately 20-40 minutes from campus. A one-bedroom apartment costs from USD 1500 and up per month and it is common to share a room to bring the price down. It can be difficult to find a place to live, so former students recommend contacting landlords before departure and traveling down well in advance of the start of your studies. Never pay for a home without having seen it!
Additional information
Students must pay an application fee of USD 45-55 before the application is processed by HPU and a deposit of USD 200. Both parts must be paid before the application is processed.
In addition, you must pay approximately USD 250 in miscellaneous fees that include transportation, IT services and other support services.
