Accommodation

Before you travel, Bond University helps you find housing on or off campus. Many flats are located close to campus, and most European students choose this option. Many UiA students choose to stay at Varsity Towers but there are many other possibilities as well.

If you choose to live on campus, then you are not allowed to cook at home, but must pay for a mandatory meal plan, which means that you eat all meals at one of the university's cantinas.

Additional information

Bond University is a small university with just over 5,000 students, and many of the classes are small. Many Norwegian institutions have partnerships with Bond, and students from the School of Business, for example, should be prepared to encounter many Norwegian students in the classes.

  • Bond University has fantastic sports and training facilities, which are free. You can read more about the fitness offerings on their website.
  • Regarding insurance: Norwegian students who are members of the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme are exempt from the Australian "Overseas Students Health Cover" (OSHC). You should bring your European Health Insurance Card with you when you travel, and otherwise ensure that you have travel insurance that covers your needs.
  • You can find a lot of information about exchange and study abroad on "Bond University's own website".
  • You need a visa to study in Australia.
  • Bond University's CRICOS provider Number: 00017B
  • The International Office at UiA must send your transcript in English (from what you've taken at UiA) to Bond. You cannot do this yourself.

Note: Some students must pass an additional health check, which costs about 2,000-3,000 NOK and can only be carried out by selected doctors (so-called Panel Physicians) in Oslo and Bergen. The reason why some students must take this extra check is that they have, for example, visited certain countries in Africa, Asia, and South America within the last five years. Learn more about who needs this extra health check.
