Contents

In the third year of study, students will develop the ability to provide pedagogical leadership, manage change and development processes in the kindergarten and demonstrate that pedagogical leadership involves an awareness of professional ethics. Students shall focus on both their own professional identity and the kindergarten's social mandate and be able to reflect on this. During this practical training period, students are responsible for leading a development project.

This practical training period builds on the knowledge area Leadership, Collaboration and Development (LSU).

More specific information about the content of the practical training can be found on our website.

Teaching and learning methods

During this practical training period, students will take over operations of a unit/base/group in the kindergarten for one week, with as much independence and responsibility as possible. Students are under regular professional supervision of a practical training supervisor. Practical training is mandatory and takes place in a kindergarten.

Scope: 20 days

Examinations

At the end of the practical training period, students will be given an individual written assessment with Pass/Fail. Student assessments are based on the description of learning outcomes for the practical training period.

A 100 per cent attendance record for practical training is required in order to pass the training.

Student evaluation

Practical training is evaluated digitally at the end of the training period, in line with the quality system.
