The internship is an opportunity to work in a organization and offers valuable practical experience and insight into real-world business challenges. It will put academic learning into a contextual and applied perspective. The Internship work goes in parallel with classes in the fall semester and is unpaid. Students will receive administrative and academic support from the School of Business and Law at UiA.

The workload of the internship program in the organization is approximately 300 hours. The distribution of the workload will be agreed upon by the organization in conjunction with the School of Business and Law to fit the student’s class schedule and the company’s practical needs.

The day-to-day tasks during the internship will be agreed upon between the student and the organization and may be adjusted as needed. The work tasks shall be related to the core competences of the student’s business education, e.g. in management, marketing, finance, strategy, accounting, innovation, entrepreneurship, and management control.

By the end of the Internship the student will submit a paper (10-20 pages) related to the specific practice experience. The total workload, included the work in the selected organizations, preparing and writing the final paper, is approximately 400 hours.
