Contents

The course includes instruction in the main instrument, co-writing interaction and interaction in different groupings. Emphasis is placed on further developing creative and technical skills, as well as on further developing a personal expression within the student's main field of study. The student is especially challenged to work with recording their own material and know the different processes in this.

In interaction, co-writing with other students is in focus. Here you write music specifically for orders and work closely with other students both in the writing process, recording and completion. The student learns about their rights, both as a performer and as an author.

Teaching and learning methods

Each student is given individual instruction on his or her main instrument. During the course, the student participates in interpretation/house concert, which is a performance with self- and peer assessment as well as feedback from teachers, and various compulsory projects and/or seminars.

Through interpretation/house concerts in larger and smaller groups, the students gain insight and experience in various forms of feedback and performance. Mastering performance and strengthening the student's dissemination and performing practices are central to the course.

A performance project aimed at a given target group is part of the course, and seminars are given in connection with this. In the project, the student works together with the other students within the specialization in songwriting and artist. The project's scope, target group and process will be presented at the start of the semester.
