Contents
The course introduces knowledge of being able to search for relevant research literature,
different research methods that are relevant for classroom research/school research.
It includes the planning of a research project in mathematics education where emphasis is placed on the design of relevant research questions, suitable research design and appropriate methods.
Furthermore, a research project is carried out by obtaining empirical data, processing, and analyzing these. Included in this research project are questions relating to quality criteria for research.
Through work on the course, the students are to acquire a good academic foundation so that they can carry out a professionally oriented and practice-oriented research project in mathematics education (the master's thesis) under supervision.
