Learning outcomes
- be able to meet the patient¿s basic needs through observation, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing
- be able to apply knowledge about disease, treatment, and surroundings affect the patient¿s health condition when planning and practicing nursing
- be able to learn how to use an individual plan
- master current practical procedures
- master principles of hygiene
- be able to apply knowledge about pharmacology and handling of drugs
- master current medical technology and be familiar with methods in e-health, health care technology, and welfare technology
- show an understanding of the importance of relatives for patients¿ health and quality of life and be able to cooperate with patients and relatives
- have insight into nursing at the end of life

Examination requirements
Course requirements must be passed for the course to be passed.
During the 4th semester the student must also have attended the mandatory first-aid course.

Examinations
Clinical studies are assessed with pass/fail. There is 90 % compulsory attendance in the clinical studies and 90 % compulsory attendance in the simulation practice.
