How to gain access with your staff or student card to UiA’s part of the centre:

The UiA areas are located on the third floor and include, amongst other things:

  • Common area and project zone
  • Group rooms
  • Social area
  • Parts of the Skaperverkstedet that do not require special training

NB: Areas with specialised equipment, such as the woodworking workshop, laser cutter, CNC machine and 3D printer, are accessible when staffed, or to users who have completed the necessary health, safety and environment (HSE) training.

Staff and students have access to UiA’s areas in the building using their standard staff or student card.

Access is via a separate door at the rear of the building, which is fitted with a code lock. To open the door:

  1. Hold your card against the reader
  2. Enter your PIN
  3. Hold the card against the reader once more

You can also enter the building via the main entrance when the building is open. The rear door is mainly used when the main entrance to the building is closed, and allows staff and students to access the workshops and teaching rooms outside the Science Centre’s normal opening hours.

How to book a room

Teaching rooms, creative workshops and group rooms are booked via the TP timetable system.
