Duration
–
Project type
Research project

Purpose

The purpose of CENTENOL is to address the challenges related to the understanding and application of EEA law among Norwegian legal professionals, and to support the alignment of Norwegian legislation with the obligations arising from EEA law.

Project description

Through interdisciplinary research, the center will examine how the EEA’s fundamental freedoms impact Norwegian welfare law, immigration, labor law, and administrative law. The main objective is to strengthen legal research and education by increasing awareness of the effects of EEA law, thereby ensuring that all relevant actors are better equipped to handle these issues in the future.

CENTENOL is both a national and international collaboration, based at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen. The research will contribute to new knowledge and enhance legal education in Norway.

The project is coordinated by the University of Bergen, and UiA is a partner.
