Project description
Sustainable internationalization plays significant importance in the current educational and research landscape. The project will establish an international partnership among universities/institutes in Norway, Canada, USA, and Japan for higher education and cutting-edge research in engineering.
Engineering education requires laboratory practices as part of the learning process. It is also evolving to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 where digital technologies play a central role in driving innovation and efficiency. Aligned with Norway's and EU’s digitalization strategy, the project will pioneer the development of digital twin platform in engineering education. This platform will integrate cutting-edge digital technologies into the learning process, enhancing students' practical skills and industry relevance.
There is a growing demand for engineering graduates with practical skills and knowledge directly applicable to industry needs. However, there is a gap between the skills acquired through academic education and those required by the industry. To address this gap, the project will focus on advancing engineering education through the development of industry relevant teaching and learning experiences. By integrating real-world applications and industry practices into the curriculum, we aim to better prepare students for their future careers.
