Research schools

UiA is partnered with several research schools that provide PhD candidates with both an academic and social space for further development. These schools function as networks that offer specialised courses and seminars designed to strengthen research through knowledge sharing across disciplines.

Participation in a research school gives PhD candidates opportunities to present and discuss their work with peers and senior scholars, build professional connections, and collaborate with researchers from other institutions. PhD candidates are encouraged to discuss relevant research schools with their supervisors early in the doctoral journey to identify which networks best align with their research project and career goals.
