Explore UiA's Unique Collection of Erotic Literature

In 2020, UiA received one of Europe's largest collections of erotic literature, a treasure originally assembled by the late editor Terje Gammelsrud. This extraordinary collection now has a dedicated space in the university library, featuring works in Norwegian, Danish, English, and French, spanning from the 19th century to the present day.

A Resource for Curiosity and Learning

From comics to non-fiction and short stories, the collection provides a rare opportunity to explore the fascinating evolution of erotic literature. For students of sexology, literature, and cultural studies, it offers a unique chance to delve into an exciting field, supported by UiA's long-standing expertise in sexology education.

A Legacy Worth Preserving

Generously donated after Gammelsrud's passing, this collection stands as both a cultural archive and an academic resource. Visit the library and immerse yourself in a rich literary tradition that broadens your perspective.
