Open lecture. All interested are welcome!

In connection with Abel Day at UiA on Friday, 29 May, everyone is invited to an open lecture on mathematics and the laureate’s work, delivered by the Abel Prize winner himself, Professor Gerd Faltings of the Max Planck Institute in Germany.

The lecture is aimed at young people, students, staff, and anyone interested in mathematics and the laureate’s contributions.

Gerd Faltings received the Abel Prize on 26 May this year “for introducing powerful tools in arithmetic geometry and for solving long-standing Diophantine conjectures of Mordell and Lang”.

The lecture will be held in English.
