The discussion will focus on the important role that universities and European university alliances play in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness, research and innovation capacity. In light of upcoming changes to the EU’s funding schemes, the discussion will focus on how European university alliances and the higher education sector can remain visible, relevant and supported within a European funding landscape that is increasingly characterised by competition.
