Teaching practice abroad for students in specialisation

Teaching practice abroad for students in specialisation takes place during the fifth semester of the study programme. It consists of 2–4 weeks of teaching practice at an early childhood institution in another country.

The content of the teaching practice period is defined according to the learning outcomes associated with the student's chosen area of specialisation.

Practical assignments

During teaching practice, students shall initiate and lead a project based on their chosen specialisation. This may involve observation, implementation, documentation, and evaluation. Through the project, the students must include comparative reflections and aspects related to the kindergarten’s pedagogical practices. After completing teaching practice, students are required to submit a report on their experiences and reflections from teaching practice.

Assessment

You submit the assessment report digitally via Secure channel to UiA. Head of teaching practice pre-school education, Helene Wanner, receives the report.

The report may also be submitted as paper, which the student delivers to the head of teaching practice.
