Exchange English (Bachelor's)

Completing Your Minor While on Exchange

Students are normally encouraged to use their exchange period to complete courses that can count towards the minor component of their degree (60 ECTS credits). Most students choose courses from a field other than English, such as politics, history, communication, or related disciplines. You are free to combine courses from different subject areas, provided that they are available through UiA's exchange agreement with the host institution.

You may also choose to build on your specialisation in English by taking courses in creative writing, film studies, or other English-related subjects that do not overlap with courses offered at UiA.

If you would like to take advanced English courses (200-level courses or equivalent) abroad, you should contact the academic adviser to discuss an adjusted study plan.

English students are generally encouraged to choose a university in an English-speaking country for their exchange period. UiA has a range of exchange agreements with partner institutions in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada,  Australia, and New Zealand.
