Dr Bee Hughes (Senior Lecturer in Media, Culture & Communication at Liverpool John Moores University) is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher. Their work explores embodied experiences with a focus on menstruation, everyday rituals and routines, and the feminist tradition of self-examination. Recent projects in poetry and sound art examine repetition and menstrual normativity in online medical advice, considering how these platforms have become part of the everyday experience of menstruation.

Hughes will speak for circa 30 minutes, with time for Q&A after.
