In January 2026, the Department of Psychology at the University of Agder opened, and on 10 August we welcomed the first cohort of students to the Professional Degree Programme in Psychology. The establishment marks an important milestone for UiA and for the development of psychology education in Norway. The professional degree programme is a six-year programme leading to the degree of Candidata/candidatus psychologiae (cand.psychol.).
Please register by 10 September
We would like to celebrate this milestone together with everyone who has contributed along the way. We invite students, staff and external partners to join us for a pleasant gathering in Building 6. There will be speeches, cake and musical performances, as well as an opportunity to meet both new and familiar colleagues and partners.
We hope you will join us in marking the official opening of the Department of Psychology at UiA.
Welcome!
