FIDES research projects

FIDES conducts research projects that generate new knowledge and develop practical measures for girls and women in sport. Our projects range from athlete and coach development to elite performance environments, with the overall goal of creating more inclusive and sustainable conditions for participation, development, and performance.

FIDES ADP

The FIDES Athlete Development Programme (ADP) is a PhD project at Linnaeus University in Sweden, funded by the Kamprad Family Foundation. The aim is to develop, test, and evaluate a sustainable and cost-effective learning programme for girls aged 13–16 in organised sport, as well as for their coaches and parents.

The PhD candidate is Felicia Radovan at Linnaeus University, with the following supervisory team: Associate Professor Susanne Linnér (Linnaeus University, main supervisor), Professor Anna Melin (Linnaeus University, co-supervisor), Associate Professor Jørgen Bagger Kjær (Linnaeus University, co-supervisor), and Associate Professor Bård Erlend Solstad (University of Agder, co-supervisor).

You can read more about her project her (also called “Girls are not small boys”).
