Through the interdisciplinary project Sound of History, organized by the research group Reconfiguring Historical Musical Crafts Education (RHiMUCE), the faculty received Palestinian guests from the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM) - the Palestine conservatory.
The guest lecturers were Tamer Al-Sahouri (academic director) and Yassar Sadat (academic supervisor), both from ESNCM, and Loab Hammoud, a Palestinian musician who currently holds a postdoc position at the Institute of Music Research, University of Würzburg.
The Palestinian guests visited UIA for two reasons: both as contact persons for the faculty's Erasmus student project, and as contributors to Sound of History.

On Thursday morning, October 9th, the guests presented music from Brazil, Argentina and Palestine together with eight students from the Department of Classical Music and Music Education.
The students Karina Bloom and Jhenifer Costa have been program developers for the concert, which was performed at Grimstad Cultural Center for the Qualification Service Grimstad, Center for Norwegian Language and Culture Training for Adult Immigrants.

Sound of History is supported by the dean's strategic funds and connected to the research group RHiMUCE's ongoing anthology project Learning to Perform Musical Past.
