Areas of responsibility

As a career adviser, I am passionate about helping students build their careers during their studies by encouraging active engagement. I am also committed to inspiring and supporting students in developing self-awareness by recognising their competence, identifying their potential for growth, exploring employment opportunities, and working systematically towards their goals.

I have 20 years’ experience in the university and university college sector, where I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students during the transition from education to working life. In my work, I always prioritise relationship-building, as I believe the best outcomes arise through collaboration. I also emphasise the importance of students building and developing their own networks throughout their studies. I remain curious about the mutual benefits that emerge from contact and cooperation between employers and academia.

I hold a Master of Management degree (2018) with a focus on organisational psychology, including modules in Interaction and Leadership, Consulting, and Performance in Organisations. In addition, I have an academic background in communication (Bachelor’s in Marketing Communication), sociology, coaching, and project management.

Teaching

  • How to get a job as a recent graduate
  • International experience – what have I learned?
  • Building relationships and networks – why and how?
  • Become aware of your competence and discover your opportunities
  • Job search coursee

Research

As part of my Master of Management degree at BI Norwegian Business School, I completed three project assignments that together form my master’s qualification:

  • 2018 – Performance in Organisations: A dissertation project exploring how students’ reflection before, during, and after placement can influence self-efficacy and attitudes towards their own competence.
  • 2015 – Consulting: A dissertation project examining what motivates business mentors to participate in student mentoring programmes.
  • 2014 – Interaction and Leadership: A dissertation project on team effectiveness in a lean enterprise.
