Areas of responsibility
Holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Diakonissehjemmets University College in Bergen (now VID Bergen, Haraldsplass, 2007), an MSc in International Health from Uppsala University (2010), and postgraduate studies in Multicultural Health Work from OsloMet.
Has broad clinical experience from working with children, sexual health, and issues related to substance use and mental health. This includes extensive work with vulnerable patient groups and challenges related to culture, health, and diversity within healthcare services. Also has international experience, including a position as lecturer at the Libyan International Medical University.
Joined the University of Agder as a university lecturer in 2019 and is currently a PhD Research Fellow, with research focusing on how cultural competence can be strengthened in clinical placement learning within nursing education.
