Background and experience
Manuel Martínez Moreno holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Global Development Studies, and is currently completing a master’s degree in Management and Business Development at the University of Agder. His background combines experience from international organisations, public administration, sustainability initiatives, communication and marketing, and student support within higher education.
Manuel’s areas of interest include international student mobility, internationalisation at home, student engagement, sustainability, communication and outreach, and cross‑cultural cooperation. He is fluent in Spanish and English, has advanced proficiency in Norwegian, and conversational knowledge of French and Italian.
Areas of responsibility
Manuel Martínez Moreno is an International Coordinator in the International Realtions Unit at the University of Agder, a position he has held since April 2026. In this role, he supports both incoming and outgoing students and contributes to strengthening UiA’s international learning environment for Norwegian and international students alike.
Manuel works actively to promote internationalisation across the university through student‑focused initiatives, events, and communication activities. He is responsible for following up the Global Lounge in Grimstad, where he organises events and activities that foster intercultural engagement and a welcoming, inclusive campus culture. Through marketing and outreach initiatives, he also contributes to making Campus Grimstad increasingly attractive to international students.
