Background and experience

I received my Ph.D. in (Historical) Linguistics from the University of Potsdam, Germany. My dissertation was on the diachrony of subject to subject raising verbs in the history of German. My current research revolves around examining different types of adverbial clauses at the syntax-semantics interface, in particular in Germanic and Slavic languages.

Areas of responsibility

I am Professor in German Language and Linguistics, and I work in the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation at the University of Agder (Kristiansand).

Teaching

In the fall term, I teach the course TY 125, as well as TY 129 and TY 130 (German didactics). In the spring term, I teach the course TY 126, as well as TY 400 and TY 401 (German didactics).
