Background and experience
Office both in Kristiansand (J2002) and in Grimstad (C4023).
I have 24 years of experience from the Process Industry. 22 years at the same Site, the last years as Site Director at GE Healthcare Lindesnes, providing the Active Ingredient for XRay Contrast Media, delivering ca 45% of the world marked. Then 2 years as Plant Director for REC/Elkem Solar in Kristiansand, producing silicon for solar panels, with the most energy efficient process and the lowest carbon footprint in the world. Four months in NORCE, before starting as Faculty Director for Engineering and Science at UIA 1. February 2020.
My background is MSc (Siv.ing) and PhD (Dr.ing) in Physics from NTNU.
Several board roles through many years, examples: Chairman of the Eyde Cluster, UIA board, Different board roles regionally and nationally in the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), “Nasjonale programstyret for VRI” in The Research Council of Norway. Currently per 2025: Chairman of the Board of Glencore Nikkelverket, Boardgroup of WIB-Women in Business in the business association in the Kristiansand region, Board of IOT Solutions, Board of Lister Nyskaping, Board of VEAS, Board of Future Materials, Board of the Norwegian Marine University Consortium.
Married to Glenn, we have two children and three grandchildren.
