Areas of responsibility

Ingvild Koksvik is a Norwegian singer and song-maker. Her career includes several albums with original music, commissioned works for festivals, and substantial touring as a live artist in Norway and Europe. She holds a master’s degree in musicology from the University of Oslo, where she also spent two years as a research assistant.

In her artistic-scholarly PhD dissertation Transitioning Ideas into Recordings: The Compositional Intention as a Guiding Principle in Record Production (University of Agder, 2026), she explores how artistic ideas can be understood and conceptualized – and how they shape aesthetic, compositional, and performative choices in record production, including in the immersive audio format Dolby Atmos.
