I am an associate professor in education at the University of Agder, currently exploring culturally grounded and community-based approaches to mitigate trauma among children and youth in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Diaspora - studying five grassroots movements in Palestine and Israel in light of the HOPE (Healthy Output from Positive Experience) framework.
I have work experience from all levels of the Norwegian education system, from early childhood education, primary-, lower- and upper-secondary school, to university-level education. In addition to teaching practice, my experience includes educational management and professional development on the municipal level. I have also worked as an environmental therapist for several years, caring for disabled children, -adolescents, and -adults in home care settings and institutions.
My expertise includes Early Childhood Education, Teaching and Teacher Education, Diversity-, Equity- and Inclusion Theory and Methods, History and Philosophy of Education, and Education Policy and Quality Assurance Systems.
