Areas of responsibility

My research interests focus on the technology´s influnce on development of our society, both in terms of the potential it offers, and the challenges that follows, responsible digitalisation. My Phd. studied procurement of Information Systems in public sector. My current work focuses on e-health, especially assistive technology and remote monitoring, implementation of new digital solutions, and digital inclusion. One result from a previous project is the development of an app for intellectually disabled, Kompass, which now is commercially available.

Currently (May. 2026) I am working on two different research projects:

  • Sosio-technical transformation of health and care services - the Upscale-project, w/ collegues at UiAs Centre for e-health and Lappenranta University of Technology (LUT)
  • Health and care workers help of patients with digital technology

I coordinate our specialisation in Digital Transformation in the Professional Master in Management, and teach the Methods part of IS-924 . Further, I supervise students doing their Master thesis in three different programs: Master in Information Systems, Master in Management and Executive Master in Digitalisation, and I supervie two Phd candidates.

My educational background is:

  • Hovedfag in Information Science (Cand. Polit.), University of Bergen
  • Ph.D. in Information Systems, University of  Agder
