UiA's feminist book club

Are you interested in feminist perspectives, social issues and literature that challenges established truths? If so, UiA’s feminist book club is just the thing for you.

Everyone is welcome! The only thing we ask is that everyone treats one another with respect and openness.

  • You don’t need to identify as a feminist to take part.
  • You don’t need to have read the whole book to take part.

We meet once a month to discuss texts based on a broad and intersectional view of feminism. We often read texts that explore various forms of inequality, discrimination and marginalisation, and how these are interlinked.

To make the reading group as inclusive as possible, we mainly read texts that are available in English. Discussions take place in English, unless all participants are fluent in Norwegian.

The reading group was established in 2024 and is organised by UiA – Centre for Gender and Equality.

Do you have any questions, are you curious about the group, or do you need help getting hold of the books?
