The PhD specialization in Religion, Philosophy and History recruits candidates who want to write a PhD thesis within either religion, philosophy or history, or work interdisciplinary. The PhD education aims at studying methodological, theoretical, and substantive issues of relevance to the fields. There are both formal and informal places for discussing of the projects. Each year 1-3 point giving PhD courses are established. Furthermore, the Department is related to regional and national research schools that offer courses relevant to each discipline. Every month the group of PhD students meet senior researchers in seminars where student-papers are discussed in an informal setting. The students may become members in one of our research groups aiming at building co-operative research projects.
