SE-105 Introduction to Microeconomics or MA-138/MA-115 Mathematics Applied in Business Administration A or equivalent.
Upon successful completion of this course the student should:
have fundamental knowledge of economic theories for markets characterized by perfect competition.
have developed an indebt understanding of theories for international trade with a focus on comparative advantages.
be able to apply economic models for markets characterized by perfect competition to assess welfare effects of trade policies and selected regulatory issues.
understand basic game theoretic concepts and be able to apply them on situations involving strategic decision making.
have thorough knowledge of economic theories discussing how agents behave in markets characterized by imperfect competition and economies of scale.
have an indebt understanding of markets exhibiting imperfect competition and economies of scale.

Lectures, group work and digital learning using the My Econ Lab platform. Mode of Delivery: The lectures will be face to face. In addition distance learning through My Econ Lab. The total workload is about 200 hours.
Vilkår for å gå opp til eksamen
Approved compulsory assignment, in which the students must demonstrate the ability to solve microeconomic problems by safely applying the theory and models learned throughout the course. Detailed information will be provided at the start of the semester.
4-hour written examination with letter grades.
