On successful completion of the course the student should be able to:
The course aims to train students to understand the national economies of states and regions with a growing influence in the global economy and world politics. The course has three main theoretical and methodological components: systematic assessment of resources for national economic growth; the role of institutions for sustainable economic development and welfare distribution; and government policies for growth with equity.
The following issues will be covered under each component:
Presentation of the term paper and contribution to case discussions. More information will be given in Canvas at the start of the semester.
Final individual paper. Letter grades.
Due to grade requirements for state authorised auditors, a regular examination will be held both autumn and spring.
