Upon succesful completion of the course, students will:
demonstrate knowledge about strenghts and weaknesses in different research designs
have developed skills in critical assessment of different research designs
demonstrate insight into the different parts of the research process
demonstrate competence in the dissemination of scientific knowledge
The course will introduce the students to different types of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Emphasis will be on the theoretical foundation of the methods and practical approches in the field of health and sport sciences.

Expected workload in this course is approximately 135 hours.
A two-hour individual multiple choice exam (school exam). Graded as Pass/Fail.
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
