Otto Andersen

Professor emeritus

Otto Andersen er professor ved Institutt for strategi og ledelse på Handelshøyskolen ved Universitetet i Agder.

Andersen har primært forsket på B2B-markedsføring, og særlig anvendelse av transaksjonskostnadsanalyse og forskjeller mellom nasjonale og internasjonale forretningsforbindelser.

I løpet av en lang karriere har Andersen utgitt et stort antall vitenskapelige artikler i tidsskrifter som International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Management Review, International Business Review, European Journal of Marketing, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, Journal of International Marketing og Journal of International Business Studies.

Artikkelen On the internationalization process of firms: A critical analysis (Journal of International Business Studies, 1993) er sitert mer enn 2100 ganger og siteres fortsatt mellom 100 og 150 ganger årlig.

Andersen har vært professor ved Universitetet i Agder siden 1999. Han er tidligere dosent ved Agder distriktshøgskole og også tidligere førsteamanuensis ved distriktshøgskolene både på Agder og i Nordland.

Andersen har ledet en rekke forskningsprosjekter, som for eksempel Effektene av distriktspolitiske virkemidler på bedrifters atferd og resultater, Eksportatferd blant bedrifter i Nord-Norge, Effekter av markedsføringsstøtte til regionale bedrifter, Konkurs: Årsaker og bedrifters atferd, og Evaluering av distriktspolitiske virkemidler rettet mot kvinner.
