Hossein Baharmand er postdoktor ved Institutt for informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi. Han har doktorgrad i IKT fra UiA og en mastergrad i Industrial Engineering fra Yazd University, Iran.

Hans faglige interesser handler hovedsaklig om logistikk og verdikjedestyring, beslutning problemer, og blockchain med fokus på humanitære oppdrag. Han har undervisning og veiledningserfaring på bachelor- og masternivå. Emnene fokuserer på verdikjedestyring og prosjektledelse, med noen gjesteforelesninger i blockchain technology og smart contracts.

Han har publisert på en rekke områder i tidsskrifter som Transportation Research Part E, Annals of Operations Research, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, and Technology in Society.
