Dragana´s research interests unite two strands of significant information systems inquiry: data governance in digital ecosystems, and the production, sharing and usage of patient-generated healthcare data. Her PhD research project investigates the topic of data governance in digital ecosystems in healthcare, taking place in heavily regulated socio-institutional environments.
Empirically, she is investigating this topic by following digital transformation initiatives for patient-centric care, which are heavily rooted in the importance of sharing citizen/patient data beyond the boundaries of single organizations. Theoretically, her interests lie in complexity theories, or assemblage theory in particular. She aims to use this high-level abstract theory to generate concepts which will bring greater understanding to the data governance phenomenon.
