Anna Svingen-Austestad was born in Bergen/Norway in 1976. Childhood years in Hongkong. Received a university degree in General teacher education in 2000. MA in Arts and crafts education from Oslo University College in 2005. PhD from Oslo School of Architecture and Design from 2017.
Research interests inbetween art and pedagogy. Interdisciplinary experiments between theory and practice. Art didactics [kunstfagdidaktikk] informed by poetic practices, site-specificity and social practice.
How do art and aesthetic practices inhabit and transform individual and collective experience?
The political traditions of Bildung and the production of subjectivity in late Foucault, Felix Guattari, Gilles Deleuze are significant theoretical leitmotifs.
Existential territories, relationality between humans and non-humans. Post-colonial perspectives.
