Amy has a bachelor's degree in Psychology (Kinnaird College). She has two master's degrees; first in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management (University of Sydney), and the second in Business Management (a collaboration between BI - Norwegian Business School, IFP Energies Nouvelles, and ESCP Europe Business School).
In total, Amy has 20 years of professional work experience in diverse multinational corporations within IT and Oil & Gas sectors. In 2016 Amy started with her first company. From a long-term perspective and considering the entrepreneurial finance challenges, she thereby got interested in Crowdfunding. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. within the field at the University of Agder (UiA). Her research focus is on Crowdfunding the Emerging Economies.
Amy is affiliated with the University of Agder's Center of Entrepreneurship and Crowdfunding Research Center. In addition, she actively participates in several other think tanks to promote entrepreneurship, especially for the unbanked financially excluded sectors.
As part of her academic activities, she teaches at Norway's first Crowdfunding Lab - a Master level course ORG 475 with 7.5 ECTS, as well as Entrepreneurship - a Bachelor level course MA 155 with 7.5 ECTS. Both courses are offered at the University of Agder Campus however, she also holds customized seminars and workshops around the world in collaboration with other universities, incubators, and accelerators.
