The specialisation in pure mathematics delves deeper into advanced concepts and methods. The specialisation qualify students for lectureships after completing practical pedagogical education (PPU), as well as for PhD studies.
The University of Agder has a strong team of experts in mathematics, and the National Centre of Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (MatRIC) is situated at UiA.
