I chose Norway because it is a beautiful country

The quality of the technology at UiA is very good. I find the Canvas Application very useful. Everything that we need to know is saved and updated in the system.

Tell us about you and from which University you are from.

My name is Bless Kulphassorn Wongurkrut. I am 24 years old and I am from Thailand. My home University is Mahidol University, and I study in the College of Music. My major is Voice.

Why did you choose Norway?

I chose Norway because it is a beautiful country. I wanted to see the northern lights and the beautiful mountains here. I decided that it would be a great opportunity to travel as well.

How was your arrival?

Everything was so easy because in UiA they have ESN, which has their own Buddy group. They were very helpful.

What do you think about the quality of the University and its courses?

I love it! It has everything I want to have in Thailand. The quality of the technology here is very good. I find the Canvas Application very useful. Everything that we need to know is saved and updated in the system. We receive a notification to our mobile phone if there are any relevant changes. Also, if the professor wants to send something to the students it is very easy. We can also scan our student card and get the printed copy of anything that we want easily by sending the file to the system. The professors are very good too, both in theoretical and practical subjects. We learn through their experiences, the real-life situations, and I think that is a great way to teaching. Moreover, for each subject one has very professional teachers that are experts in their field. That is wonderful.

What do you like most in Kristiansand and why?

In my opinion, I think in Sentrum, downtown, because I can go shopping, walk in the street or just sit down and drink a cup of coffee and see the beautiful environment and people.

Have you planned any trips during your stay?

Yes! I am planning on visiting Oslo, Bergen and Tromsø. I think it is going to be fun and I am looking forward to it!
