Supplementary regulations regarding admission: Global Development and Planning, master’s programme
General admission criteria to master’s programmes are given in Regulations concerning Requirements for the Master’s Degrees, established by the Ministry of Education and Research. The general requirement is completed bachelor’s degree, cand.mag.-degree, or other degree or vocational education with a scope of minimum 3 years’ duration.

1. Academic basis
a)
Either: a major subject of at least 80 credits within the social sciences.
Or: an integrated programme of at least two years duration within the social sciences. Examples of relevant fields include: Development Studies, Planning, Geography, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Politics and Business Administration
b) Other admission requirements: Social scientific method, at least 7,5 credits.
2. Minimum grade requirements A weighted, average grade of C or better is required, see Regulations concerning admission to programmes and courses at the University of Agder, § 24. The grade requirement is calculated from all the grades included in the bachelor’s degree.
3. Ranking of applicants Weighted grade average is calculated from all the grades included in the bachelor´s degree. Ranking of applicants is done according to Regulations concerning admission to programmes and courses at the University of Agder § 25.
4. Conditional offer of admission Conditional offer of admission may be given to applicants who lacks no more than 15 credits of the admission requirements apart from their major subject if the criteria stated in the Regulations concerning admission to programmes and courses at the University of Agder § 26 are met.
