You may apply for admission to single courses at the University of Agder without having been admitted to a programme of study. Admission to single courses at UiA does not make you eligible for a Visa or studypermit in Norway. Consequently, applicants from countries outside EU/EEA are not eligible for admission to single courses.
Most of the courses are taught in Norwegian. However some are taught in English. The courses taught in English have the following text "The course is taught in English/No Norwegian language requirements" added.
Requirements
Courses on bachelor’s level (undergraduate): In order to be evaluated for admission, applicants must fulfill the basic entrance requirements to Norwegian universities, called Higher Education Entrance Qualification, or generell studiekompetanse in Norwegian. Applicants from most European countries are eligible for admission upon completion of the secondary school leaving certificate that provides the basis for admission to university studies in the home country. Entrance requirements for applicants from non-European countries may include one or two years of university studies in addition to secondary school. NOKUT has compiled a list of general admission requirements for Norwegian universities/higher education for applicants with foreign education:The GSU list.
Courses on master’s level (graduate): The admission requirements for courses at master’s level are the same as those for the study programme to which the courses belong. You have to have a bachelor degree or equivalent, with a GPA equal to C or better within the Norwegian system. And you have to fulfill the programme specific requirements.
Both levels: You have to fulfill the language requirements. There is an exemption from the Norwegian language requirement for single courses taught in English. Please note that the English proficiency requirement will be strictly obeyed for admission to these courses.
