Knowledge

• demonstrates broad knowledge of problem solving at the individual level through observation, assessment, exploration of living conditions, goal design, action design and evaluation
• demonstrates broad knowledge of coordinated, coherent and knowledge-based habilitation and rehabilitation with the aim of achieving the best possible functional and coping ability, independence and participation
• demonstrates broad knowledge of environmental work and environmental therapy as a basis for the social educator's environmental therapeutic work
• demonstrates broad knowledge of tasks and issues that actualize environmental therapeutic work, habilitation and rehabilitation
• demonstrates knowledge of the concepts of development and change, and how the distinction between them is important for environmental therapeutic work, habilitation and rehabilitation
• demonstrates broad knowledge of pedagogical theories, different views of learning and didactic principles

Skills

• is able to apply professional knowledge to critically discuss his/her own work process and different models in environmental care work
• is able to apply professional knowledge to analyze and assess tasks and issues that actualize environmental therapeutic work, habilitation and rehabilitation
• is able to apply relevant methods in mapping and assessment work to identify users' goals and needs as a basis for measures
• is able to apply professional knowledge, relevant results from research and development work and scientific methods as a basis for illuminating practical and theoretical issues and making informed choices
• is able to master relevant forms of expression to document and disseminate professional knowledge adapted to purpose and target group
• is able to apply professional knowledge in the exercise of decision support
• is able to apply professional knowledge to assess situations that may become threatening to patients and staff and implement measures to prevent such incidents
