All practical placements will be supervised. The student will receive information, a tour and advisement on the ward and in the hospital in terms of learning outcomes and content, and carry out paediatric nursing with a placement supervisor / contact nurse in the various paediatric wards. Focus is determined by the ward's specialisations and particular character. The student will write their own goals, make up their schedule and participate in practical theory classes.
The placement supervisor has responsibility for continual supervision in terms of the placement location's specialisations and particular character. The teacher, in cooperation with the placement supervisor, has responsibility for supervision and assessment of the student.
Reflection groups consist of students, placement supervisors and the teacher.
Clinical studies are compulsory (requiring 90% attendance). Participation in the reflection groups and placement theory days counts as a part of the practical studies and is also compulsory.

The clinical studies are assessed as Pass/Fail. For the clinical studies to be assessed as Pass, the student must fulfill the attendance requirement (90%).
