• demonstrates knowledge about the methods and tools for knowledge-based nursing
• demonstrates knowledge about of information security in nursing practice

Skills

• is able to apply professional knowledge of health and illness to systematically observe, assess, decide, implement and document appropriate nursing measures, as well as evaluate the effect of these and adjust if necessary
• is able to apply knowledge of assessment, treatment and follow-up to support the patient's decision-making basis
• is able to apply knowledge of communication, and learning, mastering and change processes in the guidance and teaching of patients and their relatives, students and relevant staff
• is able to apply knowledge to take action on subacute and acute events
• is able to identify and reflect on ethical and legal issues using technology and digital solutions

General competence

The working methods are mainly group-based with clinical issues as starting point. Other teaching and learning methods include lectures, seminars, practical laboratory exercises and self-study.

The scope of work in the course is estimated at 270 hours.

Individual submission of a response to a case.

All submitted case responses are made available to all students in the course.

Individual 5-hour written school examination without aids.

At least 24 hours before the examination, students are given a theme, case, article, or problem statement in the students' learning support system, Canvas, for preparation.
