Course contents
The course primarily discusses questions regarding quality of life and standard of living from an overall perspective in which «policy» and knowledge of the welfare system is emphasized. This allows the opportunity to combine the various areas that are covered in the Bachelor Study Programme in Special Education in a comprehensive manner. Students will also focus on how professional special education work can help improve the quality of life and standard of living throughout an individual¿s lifetime ¿ especially from a system-theoretical perspective. Simultaneously, the course¿s theoretical approach complements the bachelor¿s thesis by providing general knowledge of current political trends (f.ex. universal formation and anti-discrimination laws) that influence the quality of life and standard of living among at-risk groups.
