Course contents
The course deals with ideological, theoretical and research-based approaches to habilitation and rehabilitation. Habilitation of children, youth and adults will be focused on. Attention will also be directed towards work inclusion, and special emphasis will be placed on preventive work, early intervention and adaptation of the inclusive workplace. The teaching will include relevant legislation within the NAV-system and means and measures that are used in workplace adaptation. The course provides an overview of the support system and the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders. The course presents challenges and possibilities for improved interaction between services, and in the meeting between assistant and user. An example is knowledge about facilitation of the transition between school and employment.
Teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, group work and individual work under supervision.
The workload is estimated to about 400 hours.
Examination requirements
A group assignment based on an individual plan must be assessed as a pass. Compulsory attendance at chosen lectures and seminars, see semester plan.
Assessment methods and criteria
Individual term paper. Graded assessment.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
