Course contents
This course aims to introduce and examine theories and research that discuss organizational change, development/innovation, learning and management/leadership. Throughout the course, students will enhance their collaborative skills by working in teams and they will strengthen their capacity to work as reflective practitioners by reflecting about their own learning process and enhancing their awareness about the role of learning arenas in developing and managing organizational change processes.
By working with a real-life case the course emphasizes how reflective practice may help improve current practice and insights into relations between organizational change and management.
Teaching methods
The course is taught through a combination of lectures and seminars. Students will work in teams to conduct a case study of an organization and present their findings at a course conference. Lectures will introduce students to theory while seminars will prepare students for the case study and the course conference.
Examination requirements
Approved individual reflection assignment. More information is available in Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
Term Paper delivered in groups of 2-3 students.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
