The course aims to train students to understand the national economies of states and regions with a growing influence in the global economy and world politics. The course has three main theoretical and methodological components: systematic assessment of resources for national economic growth; the role of institutions for sustainable economic development and welfare distribution; and government policies for growth with equity.

Due to grade requirements for state authorised auditors, a regular examination will be held both autumn and spring.
