Make use of basic grammatical structures like verb- and noun conjugation, and grammatical constructions with subject - verb - object structure.
This course is for exchange students and other international students on level A1-A2 according to the Common European Framework for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (2011). It is based on knowledge and skills in basic grammar related to noun, adjective, determinative and verb. Some central grammatical topics are the present perfect, possessives, adjectives in comparative and superlative, the use of time- and place prepositions. The students will also be made familiar with language variation and various expressions for placement, number, amount, affiliation and logical relations.
The students must demonstrate their ability to use this knowledge when they speak and write. Emphasis will be put on oral and written activity, both when it comes to understanding and expression. Topics and vocabulary will be from texts related to Norwegian culture and society, like recreation activities, health and body, food and diets, job opportunities, the situation of students, Norwegian geography and climate, culture and cultural meetings in society, etc.
